Interview PodCast Reviews

NPR is of course a great source of information. This interview discusses the controversy over sites like myspace.com and the security of children, specifically related to child pornography. The interview talks about the reaction of major sites such as google and yahoo but also mentions the need for education.
The quality of audio is of course professional. The format includes a brief introduction and conclusion with the bulk of the PodCast in the interview. The questions are open ended allowing the interviewee time to respond in any manner they wish. I enjoy the format because the interviewer is almost more like a facilitator for the interviewee to continue talking. This is more of a formal interview rather than a more dialogue or conversation format you might find elsewhere.

Red, White, and Blueberries!! This child created PodCast is excellent. Not only does it explain how to make these cookies but the cookies are excellent. What’s even better is that they actually include health tips like using margarine rather than butter. It reminds you of trying to create great desserts when you were a child. Although could can tell that it is just read out of a book it is charming and a definite must for those with small children at home.
The interview portion was a review of the recipe given by the host’s sister. It is a mix between recipe directions and brief amounts of interview. The host is professional and makes it sound like fun. I think it shows that children are not meant to be underestimated. The sound quality is decent, a little noisy but that is to expected in amateur shows. Have fun and definitely try the recipes!

OK, you got me in trouble! I tell my wife that I have to lock myself into the back room to do homework, and lo-and-behold, she happens to hear my listening to your "catieskitchen" podcast and wonders what on earth I am doing when I am supposed to be doing homework for my class. Well, it took some explaining-- but now she wants me to teach her how this podcasting & subscribing thing goes because she wants to subscribe to sites lite "catieskitchen." She thinks it will be fun to make some of these treats with our kids during some (rare) downtime in our day. Thanks for the review-- but now I have to compete for computer time with the rest of the fam. Oh, the joys of technology!
How ironic? It seems that Wes and I are in the same boat. Often my wife asks me what I am doing, and how that relates to the course.
Great job with summary and review.
Have you decided on a format for your podcast interview?
hi leah
myspace is a hot topic nowadays. i feel so sad and angry at what has happened to some of the victims. the concept upon which it was founded is ideal and laudable, but people with vile intentions used the system and abused the trust of countless individuals.
as far as catieskitchen is concerned, i'm all ears. i am not only a failry good cook, but i love baking chocolate chip cookies and sharing them with family and friends. turn it up to 350 and read some blogs!
ciao! bigjoe
OK, I'm still undecided on the interview format. I'm leaning a little more toward a Q&A like NPR but I also like a little more conversation like morning talk shows.
I do have an interview subject, My husband has graciously volunteer (i.e., forced into) talking about his experience as a sub. He's had both good and bad experiences so it should be interesting.
Wish my luck!
This podcast is not only kid friendly but just might be a precursor to becoming Rachel Ray’s competition.
The dialogue is natural. As far as an in depth interview; what else would you expect a kid to answer but, I like the cake AND the cookies!
Now, if I can get that kid to share one of those cookies (HANDS OFF! MR!).

I always love the NPR style interviews, go with it. Nice choice on that as a review.
As you can see, most of us like the cookies and cakes, too bad this online thing has not evolved to the Jeston's yet with that fancy Food maker they had, or Star Trek, or Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy because I sure could use a cookie right about now. :-)
good interview reviews. I liked listening to your podcast. Some were very interesting. Good job.

hey leah
that's right...get your husband to proliferate his voice across the world. lord knows we need more good subs who are willing to dish it out. now he can tell all about his canibal experiences in the wild west classrooms.
you did such a good job, i am going to save you at least five choc chip cookies. then you can lie to your hubby and give him one.
ciao! bigjoe
hey leah
looking forward to your first podcast. if you are having any technical issues, do not hesitate to give a yelp for help. shoot dr. newberry a quick email and don't be surprised at his quick response.
you can also air your questions right here. please be encouraged that we will gladly get you on your feet.

Good choice of podcasts, as this is a newsworthy item.
Your review was greta, as I was able to read first, then listen and knew how the interview went.
Awhile back, I think it was 20/20, hired a detective to investigate 10 random people from MySpace. Out of those three were convicted sex offenders, with one of those currently running from the police to avoid prosecution for another crime. These men were in their 40's and 50's claiming to 16-17.
After the show I became curious so I punched in a request for Anza area MySpacers and was suprised at what I found; some of the 6 grade girls from my basketball team had listed themselves as being 16 up to 19 years of age and loving to party.
I agree that the origional concept of MySpace was great, however, the predators have a way to mingle with kids undetected.
I agree with your reviews, and i liked your podcast, Good Job.
